AIIMS MBBS 2019 is a national level undergraduate medical entrance for enrollment into the MBBS program offered at 15 AIIMS in the country. It goes without saying that when compared to other medical entrances, AIIMS MBBS is considered to be the toughest of all as there is a huge disparity in the number of seats offered across 15 Institutions as compared to the large number of applicants vying for it. Aspirants preparing for AIIMS MBBS 2019 must keep in mind that the complete science section comprising of Physics, Chemistry and Biology carries equal weightage which is not similar to NEET where the 50% of the paper contains question from Biology section alone. AIIMS Exam Pattern

In 2019, AIIMS MBBS will be conducted in online mode on May 25 and May 26.

When starting to prepare for an exam like AIIMS MBBS, the very first step is to understand theexam pattern and syllabus clearly. The exam is Computer Based Test (CBT). AIIMS MBBS 2019 will be held on two days across four different slots. As per the AIIMS MBBS exam pattern 2019, the question paper contains 200 multiple choice questions from the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology (Botany and Zoology), General Knowledge and Aptitude & Logical Thinking.

The questions per section are as follows:

  • Physics: 60
  • Chemistry: 60
  • Biology (Botany + Zoology):
  • General Knowledge: 10
  • Aptitude & Logical Thinking: 10
  • For every correct answer 1 mark is given where as incorrect ones fetch negative marking of ⅓ of mark.


  • Applicants must have completed 17 years at the time of admission or will complete the age on or before December 31, 2019.
  • Applicants must have passed 12th class from any recognized board or university with English, Biology, Physics, and Chemistry as subjects.
  • 60% marks are required for general category candidates while SC/ST/OBC candidates require 50% to apply for the exam.
  • Candidates must be Indian nationals. Although overseas citizens of India and Non-Resident Indians may also apply.
