Halston Taylor’s tenure at MIT began in 1982, as an assistant with the men’s track and field squad.
He would take over as the head coach of the men in 1990 and has served as Director of MIT’s Track
Under Taylor’s guidance, his teams have produced a combined total of 278 All-America honors and 18 national champions,
The indoor and outdoor teams regularly qualify individuals for the NCAA Championships, and under Taylor's guidance,
MIT has elicited 135 All-Americans and 13 national champions, including a pair in 2010.
