National Eligibility cum Entrance Test or NEET-UG is an entrance examination conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). NEET-UG has replaced the All India Pre Medical Test (AIPMT) and all individual MBBS exams conducted by states or colleges themselves. Since 2017 all states and private medical colleges must allot seats based on NEET results.

The cut-off mark is the minimum marks that candidates have to secure in the qualifying examination. Cut-off marks will be based on different factors such as the number of candidates appeared in the entrance exam, availability of seats, last year cut-off marks & the difficulty level of examination. On the basis of cut-off marks, the merit list will be drawn and NEET Counselling will be done. Candidates who will obtain at least cut-off marks will be eligible to get position in merit list. Students can check exact cut-off marks on the day result announcement. Along with the rank, scores and result of NEET, the authority will also release cut-off marks.
To be eligible for admission in MBBS/BDS courses, students have to secure minimum 50% percentile in National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test. In case of Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe/Other Backward Classes, the minimum 40% is required. For candidates of loco motor disability of lower limbs, the minimum percentile is 45% and 40 percentile for SC-PH, ST-PH & OBC-PH candidates. The percentile will be determined on the basis of highest marks secured in the All India common merit list.

NEET Counseling Procedure
NEET Counseling will be organized through online mode. NEET is National Eligibility Entrance Test. It is a national level entrance test regulated by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). NEET is conducted for those candidates seek admission into undergraduate medical & dental courses (MBBS/BDS)
The NEET centralized counseling will be supervised by the Medical Counseling Committee (MCC). MCC is constituted by the Directorate General of Health Services, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India. It has constituted to conduct online counseling for 15% All India Quota seats for MBBS/BDS courses.
The NEET counseling will be started from the third week of June. Only NEET qualified candidates can appear in the counseling process. Candidates have to register themselves in the counseling process to confirm their seats in MBBS/BDS course & colleges.
