NMAT by GMAC is conducted for admission to MBA/PGDM programme. Since 2015, Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC) administers the management examination. The launch of new test preparation material along with the opening of 58 NMAT exam centers in 44 cities in India and 4 international cities have increased the accessibility of the exam to the candidates. The assessment is used for admissions to some of the leading graduate business programmes in India. Candidates can take the test anytime during 75-day window by scheduling their exam. NMAT has one of the most diverse test taking population in India with some of the highest proportions of women and non-engineers appearing for the exam. With effect from 2018, NMAT has been conducted by GMAC and it is considered by 23 b-schools in India, 7 B-schools in South Africa, and 3 B-schools in Philippines. Eligibility for NMAT
Bachelor's Degree in any discipline from a recognized university with minimum 50% marks in the aggregate. Final year students of graduate courses can also apply.
NMAT by GMAC is a computer based online test consisting of 120 questions in 2 hrs duration. The exam has three sections - Language Skills, Quantitative Skills and Logical Reasoning. The sections are individually timed. The level of difficulty of questions is easy to moderate. The goal of the test-taker is to maximize the score in the given period of time like any other competitive exams.
