All about MBA CET(Mah)
Maharashtra Common Entrance Test(MAH-CET) is a computer-based online management entrance test. Officially known as MAH-MBA/MMS-CET, the exam is conducted by the Directorate of Technical Education(DTE) for admission to management courses such as MBA/MMS in various institutes in the state of Maharashtra. MAH CET is conducted annually across 36 cities in Maharashtra and 13 cities outside the state. The MBA CET 2019 test scores will be accepted by over 300 public/private business schools in Maharashtra. Some of the top B-schools in Maharashtra that follow MAH-CET scores are Bharati Vidyapeeth's Institute of Management Studies & Research, K J Somaiya Institute of Management Studies & Research, Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies and more. Students from rest of India have to appear in CMAT to be eligible for admissions to Maharashtra management colleges.
MBA CET(Mah) Syllabus
The test comprises of multiple choice objective type questions. Candidates need to attempt 200 questions in 150 minutes. The exam pattern for MAH CET 2019 is divided into four sections which are Verbal ability/Reading Comprehension, Logical Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, and Abstract Reasoning. There will be no negative marking. The exam is held in multiple sessions. "Competent Authority, using standardized equipercentile method, will be equating scores across sessions," informs the official website. The candidates are allotted institutions and universities on the basis of MAH CET scores.
MBA CET(Mah) Eligibility
- Candidates must have a bachelor's degree in any discipline from any recognised university with a minimum of 50% marks and at least 45% in case of reserved candidates.
- Final year students can also apply.
- Candidates appearing for CAT / GMAT / CMAT /MAT February / XAT/ ATMA are considered to be eligible for admission against the all India seats subject to the fulfilment of eligibility criteria.
