International candidates should have completed Bachelors degree in Engineering/Technology or Post-graduate (M.Sc.) degree in any relevant science subject and must have the proof of qualification which must be uploaded at the time of applying online. The candidates can upload certificate given by the head of the institution if they have not yet received their provisional or the degree certificate. If the student has completed his degree in 2017 or prior, he/she must submit the degree certificate or the provisional certificate.

A few points about GATE 2019 application and eligibility criteria

  • You can only apply online for GATE 2019

  • As part of the online application, the students must upload scanned photograph, signature, thumb impression, degree certificate or category certificate

  • International candidates are also eligible to apply

  • Application procedure for international candidates is same as Indians

  • International candidates must possess a valid passport to apply

  • GATE 2019 will also be conducted in Bangladesh, Ethiopia, Nepal, Singapore, Sri Lanka and United Arab Emirates

  • International candidates must possess a valid passport to apply
